Eat At Joes

Just a regular Joe who is angry that the USA, the country he loves, is being corrupted and damaged from within and trying to tell his fellow Americans the other half of the story that they don’t get on the TV News.

Bush Admin and Apologists Claim Rest of World Thought Saddam Had WMD and Was a Threat – WRONG!

One after another Bush Administration officials and their apologists have trotted out the latest talking points claiming that prior to the invasion of Iraq the Intelligence agencies of the rest of the world thought that Saddam had WMD and was a threat. That claim is false as this article points out clearly. All of the countries they list as believing that Saddam was a threat actually did not as the article shows. The Bush Administration is engaging in Revisionist History which they accuse everyone else of doing. Each time they accuse others of Revisionist History it is they who are revising history to cover their actions.

The Bush Admin , their apologists and their lackeys in the Corporate Mainstream Media keep repeating these lies along with lies that Congress saw the same intelligence as the Bush Admin and that a commission absolved the Bush Admin of manipulating intelligence to push for war. They believe that repeating these lies over and over again without any correction from the Lapdog Media the American people will continue to believe their lies. This worked earlier in the Bush Administration, but more and more Americans are wising up to the fact that the Mainstream Media is deliberately misleading them in an attempt to curry favor wit the party in power. US Newspapers[sic] are losing readers, radio news[sic] is losing listeners, and televised news [sic] is losing viewers as the American people wake up to the fact that they have been manipulated and mislead for years. More and more Americans are turning to Internet sources for information including news agencies from other nations which aren’t embedded in the White House. Thanks to thinkprogress.org for uncovering this and more inaccuracies coming out of the US news outlets.

Returning to the topic of whether members of the Bush Administration mislead the nation into war: retired Air Force Major James Bruner points out that back in March of 2004 the House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform reported 237 separate instances where President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld made “outright false and deceptive public statements” to urge the country to war starting more than a year before the war began. Those deceptive statements continued until the war began and continued long after. US News [sic] outlets have not bothered to inform the public about this either.

Glad to see that you too are exploding the myth that Congress got to see the same intelligence.
I would hope the President gets to see more intelligence than anyone else in the United States. It's his job to know more about what's going on around the world. If Congress has the same intelligence as Bush then Bush isn't doing his job.
One also has to wonder if the intelligence Bush shared with Congress was of the same quality as that shared with the United Nations during Powell's now infamous presentation.
